01.
Having our production site in Cambiago allows us to work on materials and specific frame parts with great accuracy and speed. Ahead of everyone else.
02
After an initial skimming via software using fluid-dynamic models, the best performing models are produced as prototypes.
03
In addition to wind tunnel testing, the V4Rs prototypes were tested on special machines that measure carbon flexion in various high-wattage pedalling scenarios.
04
In early 2022 we built the final prototype of the V4Rs in five different micro-variants, each different in terms of carbon lamination in certain key parts. The Colnago Prototype - that's the name - was used during the Tour de France and in the second half of the season by the UAE Emirates team
05
The feedback from the race clearly showed us which lamination was the best for versatility and performance. That one was selected for market introduction.
Register your Colnago V4Rs on the Colnago Blockchain. You will enjoy all the legal benefits of having the ownership of your bicycle registered on a secure system accessible to the authorities.
In addition, you will be able to prove the authenticity of the frame at any time, resell your Colnago more easily on the secondary market, certify any maintenance carried out, and report a theft making it unsaleable on the secondary market.
Finally, you get an extension of the warranty for an additional year over the statutory two-year warranty already provided with the bike.
You can find the nearest dealer by clicking on our Dealer Locator and entering the postcode or the name of the municipality where you live.
Although both models are top-of-the-range carbon racing bikes with very similar geometries, there are big differences. The construction technique of the V4Rs frame is monocoque; the C68 is a modular frame composed of several interlocking parts. The philosophy is also radically different: the V4Rs is a bike designed and optimised for use by professional racers. More rigid and lighter, it suits highly powerful racers with extremely flexible muscles and joints. The C68, on the other hand, is designed for maximum riding pleasure: a snappy and responsive bike that calls for speed, with the perfect balance that a racing bike should have between enjoyment and performance.
The size of the V4Rs, like every Colnago, is measured in cm and represents the length of the seat tube. The size is also indicated on the serial number, located under the water bottle between the two rivets. Colnago sizing does not follow the same logic as other manufacturers. We advise you to refer to the geometry table above.
To register your V4Rs warranty you need to log into the Colnago app, register your account and register ownership of your bike via blockchain. Follow the steps in the app or consult the appropriate page.
The V4Rs 's statutory warranty lasts 2 years. If you register your bike within 30 days of purchase, you can get the Colnago 3-Year Warranty. Follow the instructions at this link.
In the V4Rs the serial number is located below the bottle cage on the down tube, in between the two rivets. To read it you can scan the qr code.
To register your bike on the blockchain you need to access the Colnago app, register your account and register the ownership of your bike by writing it on the blockchain. Follow the steps in the app or consult the appropriate page.
The CC.01 Wide handlebar is not standard on this bike, but can be ordered separately from your dealer and is compatible.
