On Thursday, June 27th, at the Team Presentation for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacar rode from Palazzo Vecchio to Piazzale Michelangelo, in the heart of Florence, on the Colnago Fleur-de-Lys No. 001/111, an even more precious version of the already admirable limited edition created by Colnago to celebrate the first historic start of the Tour from Italy.

Twenty-nine hours of work just to produce the frame. A coating composed of several layers of blue metallic gold leaf. Fifteen gold leaf lilies applied by hand on the top of the horizontal tube. These are just some of the numbers that best tell the exclusivity of this limited edition bicycle, produced in 111 units, for the 111th Tour de France. The No. 001/111, the one used by the fresh winner of the Giro d’Italia, has been further embellished with a pure 18k gold jewel on the front, featuring the Ace of Clubs, one of the most heritage-rich and valuable logos in the cycling world. The auction, which can also be participated in digitally from Sotheby’s website, will take place from July 8th to 15th, 2024.
