C68 proudly continues the tradition of the modular frame.
The frame is constructed from multiple carbon parts that are handmade and assembled through joints and interlocks. Most of the joints are concealed by a manual wrapping process. Tradition and a riding emotion that is simply unique.
A jealously guarded and handed down art.
The tradition of modular carbon frames began at Colnago in the early 1990s. Colnago was the first brand in the history of cycling to introduce carbon frames to professional teams, winning a technically demanding race like Paris Roubaix with the legendary C40.
We have introduced a new process: banding.
Carbon bands are applied manually at the junction between the carbon modules. They are then filed and polished to achieve the aesthetic effect of a monocoque frame with the riding properties of the best colnago modular frame
More care and precision in module manufacture than a complete frame.
The smaller moulds of the individual modules allow us to work with more care and extreme quality of the carbon artefact.
